Gal Gadot-Varsano is a model and actress from Israel. She was crowned Miss Israel 2004 at the age of 18. She subsequently spent two years as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces before enrolling at the IDC Herzliya College and pursuing her modelling and acting talents.

She was born on April 30, 1985, in Petah Tikva, Israel, where she grew up. She was reared in the city of Rosh HaAyin after that. Her given name means wave in Hebrew, and her surname means riverbanks. Her parents are Irit Gadot, a physical education teacher, and Michael Gadot, an engineer; previous to her birth, they changed their surname from Greenstein to Gadot. Her father descends from a sixth-generation Sabra family. She has a younger sister, Dana Gadot.
